Odhams Walk
A thriving community in the heart of the city
Odham's Walk estate in Covent Garden, London was completed in 1981. Hailed as a modern solution to troubled inner-city estates by its designers and residents, it has matured to a peaceful, leafy, secure community in the heart of Britain’s capital.

It is a striking example of what can be achieved when a group of residents are determined to retain their community and their sense of history, and find the right public or private sector body to champion their cause. Although the modern designs were derided by some when initially presented, they have withstood the test of time and have aged well, primarily because of the considerations given to gardens. The green spaces, although small, have created what one resident called 'his paradise'.

Odham's Walk is a place where people want to stay. The residents are proud of their homes and their heritage, and take an active role in shaping its future.
